Well the walk past Summit Snooker Club took us to the heights of Howth Head, just north of Dublin, the capital of Ireland.
While the weather was a bit overcast, I did venture to get a view of Baily Lighthouse and promptly seemed to attract a bunch of tourists trying to capture the same scene. Well, here is the Baily Lighthouse, as seen from just below the summit of Howth Head.

Have to say a pet bug of mine is trying to find your own spot, only for the crowd to follow your every move.
Nevermind, hope you like the view.
Really fabulous scenery.

I love everything about the sea and shore. What a beautiful shot! I bet those people know who you are and only wanted to learn from the master, …

Cheers Dannie, not being able to think for oneself comes to mind but boy is it infuriating…..๐ค

Oh what glorious beams of light!! Reminds me a lot of the landscape around South Stack lighthouse on Holyhead although I think it’s a bit more steep there. I know just what you mean about gathering unwanted crowds of people wanting to get the same shot as “that photographer over there”! The ones I hate most are those who just step right in front of my wheelchair or lean over me with the ipad or phone with the damned flash on. It’s the height of rudeness! I’ve also had guests at weddings I’m shooting thinking that they can just tag along on the bride and groom photo session ๐ฎ Ok, rant over, I shall go back to looking at the pretty picture ๐

It must be so much more infuriating if you are in a wheelchair – cannot understand the rudeness and lack of consideration of some people. I think I’d let the chair run over their toes deliberately…..You got me goinmg now Sarah ๐ค๐ค๐ค

Oh it’s so very tempting!!! I think it’s part of the mentality of society that disabled people are somehow inferior and less important so everyone can just go ahead of them. You know the type I mean!!

I think that society is going more and more towards looking after oneself which promotes a much more selfish attitude. In such a society it is those at a disadvantage that come off worse. Its a complete lack of consideration and all about me first. Like those who roll up in their 4×4’s and jump out, feeling smug that they have the balls to park their car in the disabled spot – what action is really going to be taken anyway….think that’s my rant for the day Sarah….xx

I just ranted in conversation with Adrian so I think most of it is out of my system now ๐ I am drinking lots of coffee today, it’s a bit like that this week! Good thing I’m not really a drinker of alcohol or I could be in trouble. I am just balancing the crappy stuff that I can’t do anything about with good positive stuff ๐ Research projects and volunteering with Butterfly Conservation has been a big boost this last week! I have also been having fun watching the busy redwings that have settled into Wisley for the season ๐

Great shot John, set off with the play of light on the sea.

Cheers Aidy, if it wasn’t for the light playing on the sea it just would not have been worth taking a picture……๐
