In order not to be repetitive, this year I have largely stayed away from the quarry when having my camera to hand.
Well I gave in the other day and here are some humble thistles for you all to enjoy.
There is so much to admire in this vibrant plant.

Milk thistle is derived from this plant. It’s a natural body detoxifier in particular for the liver.

These are all gorgeous MM. I know thistles are a weed, but they are the most beautiful objects, such rich colour.

I love thistly things too – beautiful light in the photos; but I call this knapweed. It’s not prickly.

May be that is just what it is called here as well, but being of the thistle family I just refer to it as a thistle. ….😃
