Dwarfed by the cruiser MSC Magnifica, Aisling stood along the old harbour in Cobh, County Cork, Ireland. My guess is the nets that featured in the post Cobh Nets were from Aisling.
A character of a boat that has probably seen much in her lifetime. If only she could talk.
And as for Aisling’s throne, you just have to love it…..
Nice pictures! Just last evening I watched a travelogue show on tv about Cobh! looks like a neat place!

Never seen a programme on it myself. Some days it looks fabulous while on other days it looks like it needs a lick of paint. Guess it may depend on one’s mood too. Have a great week Elaine, MM π

There is a traveling Europe show on our Public Television network called Rick Steves Europe and he did a few shows on traveling Ireland.

What great shots – it’s hard to beat the grittiness of an actual working fishing boat.

Now that is what I love – grittiness, and there tends to be plenty of it around an old harbour. I asked a guy if he minded having his picture taken as he was perfect for a real lived in look. This time he said no, but glad I asked all the same – I sat and chatted with him for a while before leaving. Thank you for your comments, much appreciated. MM π

Totally agree. When I first saw the scene I was like “ugh” at the purple. It then worked on me and became an essential part of the scene. Hope the weekend has been good. MM π

Cobh is looking lovely in the background! I have bitter sweet memories of arriving back to Ireland from the UK in the old Inisfallon ferry. A lovely early morning sight to see but so sad going back out!
