With fresh talks of a new bubble in the housing market, it is sobering to think that there are still numerous monuments to the last roar of the celtic tiger.
In driving back to Cork from Fermoy I took a slightly circuitous route via Blarney and finally stopped at a place I had been meaning to wander around for ages: Blarney Business Park.
It was here that not so long ago stood gleaming new showrooms full of highly polished cars. That was then, this is now.

Wow, very sobering pics. How quickly some places went from luxury and abundance to a desert of once-had dreams is a stark reminder of impermanence and change. Thanks for sharing.

I was reading that a number of multinational companies are moving their headquarters to Ireland because of the tax laws. Hope the tiger returns but doesn’t interfere with the good life in Ireland
