Library and Church

Now I am sure the title has got everyone scrolling on down to the next post in their reader, but for those wanting to see a bit more I think the image is ample reward.

Here is the first and smallest library in Iceland, the yellow building built in 1864. The church itself was built in 1926.

Those with sharp eyes will be able to make out an arctic tern disappearing out of the bottom left corner of the image.

If you want to read more about this island, or for more information on Iceland, I have just come across the blog ‘Stuck in Iceland‘. Well worth a read or two.

  1. I saw the photo before I read the title. And immediately I was attracted by it! I kept saying seeing a beautiful photo is the best way to start my day. Thanks.
