On this side of the church it is possible to just unwind, relax and contemplate.

In the lane by the side of the church one can also find the house where Jack Lynch was born, after whom the well known Jack Lynch Tunnel was named. Jack Lynch is one of Cork’s most famous sons, becoming Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) for a total of 9 years over two terms. He was also a dual GAA Player, representing Cork in both Hurling and Gaelic Football.
