Having taken the shots of the south face of the old building on the dock in Cork City I wandered round to the other side. Needless to say this side was cast in shadow but another door still caught my eye. There it was on the first floor, all bolted and locked from the outside but no stairs leading to it.
I loved all the old stone, peeling paint and the plants and mosses taking root on this the first floor.

There was also a sign proclaiming a speed limit of 10 kmph at ground floor level, almost hidden behind a parked car.

That’s it from this trip around the Cork docks in the centre of Cork City. hopefully you enjoyed this particular tour. ππ
Very picturesque.. I wonder what they keep in there… Black and white is nice, but the peeling paint and moss really scream for a colour shot here.

What a cool door. So “old world” it takes you to another time and place. Love it!

Thank you for the tour, MM. I really love the colored image here. The green moss present everywhere is such a lovely detail to accent the subject! Nicely done!

I love this one! The fading green of the door next to the more brilliant greenery of the plants and moss… and who doesn’t love these old walls?

I love finding old doors. I think of the stories they could tell of all those who have passed through over the years – over the centuries sometimes.
