The winds had blown throughout the night
Rain had poured down from the night sky
With the morning came a change
Blue sky heralded the dawn of the day
Bruised, battered and blood-stained lay
A leaf on the skylight, a victim of the night

Very nice MM! Great shot of the poor lonely leaf as well.

Fabulous! And you keep saying you’re not a poet…. why is that again?

Simply because I have never written anything like poetry before other than at school where I was not known for my writing ability. Hopefully that was simply a symptom of my handwriting. Thanks for taking the time to comment, really appreciated. MM π

Me too and I felt I did a decent job with The Chair… maybe we are just more mature and comfortable with ourselves now…

On the blog it seems a bit more anonymous and I don’t mind putting it out there somehow. Agree with you on the chair… MM π

Hmmm. Could be the reason! However, I think we’re just better than when we were in school because we choose to write and are not obliged to! And thanks…π»
