Ox-Eye Flutter

The petals of the Ox-Eye Daisy dance in the wind, as if its eyelashes are fluttering.

I thought this would make a good contrast with this morning’s post Round the Back. Having said that both pictures are from derelict places, here the Ox-Eye is thriving in the old quarry.

  1. Thanks Vicki. I think the angle brings out the individuality and delicate nature of each petal while underlining the strength of the yellow core. I did try other angles but this was the one that I liked best. Keep the comments flowing. MM 🌸

  2. Lovely image MM.
    I think too many photographers change the background or end up with a background having too much contrast when photographing a single flower.
    I particularly like the image above because the blue in the background is also in the shadow of the petals. I like the angle of your shot too.
