Every time I do the Castlefreke walk I have to take what is now a small detour up to the ruins of Rathbarry Church. Normally I love circular walks but adding this bit on where one has to go up and back on pretty much the same route just seems like a real treat. The old church is but a ruin in which one may wander and wonder, it is simply inspiring. The view down the horse pastures and out over the sea only adds to the beauty of the place.
I hope you like it too – particularly as I have some more (and better) photos to follow.
I do like it in fact I love it. Beautiful photo and piece of history! love the moss growing on the top!
