As we are told to keep a minimum social distance of 2 metres from each other in these times of Covid-19, a juvenile robin decides to get up close and personal. They may have the reputation as an aggressive bully, but each one is more than welcome in my garden.

A couple of weeks ago, this juvenile looked more like a miniature thrush than a colourful robin, but now it’s taking on the familiar red chest that adorns so many Christmas cards.

The close-up image above helps to show the changes that are taking place still.
Each time I go out to do some work in the garden, this young dude flies in to see what easy meals can be had. He really is getting very brave and coming up so close.
So wonderful to see nature close to hand, however common a robin might be regarded. These Covid times really help us to appreciate these everyday miracles. Privileged to be a friend of this young dude.
Wonderful photos

Thanks so much Dannie, been largely confined to the garden and a few walks with the dog, so been a bit limited of late. This little chap is fascinating. Hope all good with you.
