Blackrock Castle adorned in a white blanket of snow

White in Blackrock

The white stuff even took hold out at Blackrock Castle where the River Lee spreads out and becomes more of an estuary than a river.

It was here again this weekend, fluttering in the air, but unlike other parts of the country the snow failed to gain any traction. Finally, I think it is time for Spring.

    1. Originally from the 16th century, the castle fell into disrepair and when I turned up in Cork it was but a ruin. Now that it has been restored it is fabulous – there is a cafe restaurant inside that is really good and there is also an observatory. Hope you are enjoying life Lee, MM 🍀
