A meadow! Oe of my favourite subjects. Really challenging to paint – I’ve often tried. This photograph is superb. Looks easy. doesn’t it, but getting that distribution and detail WOW!

I totally agree in that it’s just a mass of colour, anyone can do that – the reality is far, far different and results are nearly always disappointing. For this image I had to do a tiny trim as the bright white of a daisy in the bottom right edge of the image was just far too distracting. There is just so much going on and the angle of the image, the composition………way more difficult than one would think, so thanks for your comment and one that I (obviously) wholeheartedly agree with.
