While The House of Honey stood out in Lanjarón in the mountain villages of Las Alpujarras, the house next door equally took my attention.

In place of bright flowers bright blue doors and shutters, stood a house of faded green shutters, crumbling brick plaster and a weathered door. Here the potted magenta geranium provided a contrasting blast of colour.

Delightful in its own way.

There is some great variety in Spain, a country worthwhile exploring – particular;y as most people head for the sand on the Costa del Sol etc…

In some ways I was more drawn to this than the more aesthetic house of honey. 🍀
