Alas while visiting New England we were always going to be a bit early for the fall colours. However, we did get a glimpse of some of the majestic displays and were just left wondering at the spectacle  that must greet October visitors.

Here one tree is well ahead of the pack.

Personally I prefer the vertical image, but let me know what you think.
