Back to the flooding in the Lee Fields on the approach to County Hall, Cork.
A plantation of silver birches, one just has to love the bark of these elegant trees, ended up doing its best impression of a mangrove swamp thanks to the River Lee spreading its load across the adjacent fields.
Hopefully such scenes can be put to bed for awhile to allow those affected to get on back with their lives.
More images of the recent floods can be found at Down by the Lee and Waterlogged.

Crazy to say so, maybe, but your photos make it look beautiful.

Thanks Ninna, glad you like the images, if not the flooding itself. Love the bark of silver birches – just wish I had my macro lens with me at the time….Have a great weekend, MM 🍀
