Primula unfurl their petals

March Photo of the Month

To celebrate Easter, here is a round up of some of my favourite images from March 2015.

Would love to know what you think of them and which is your favourite, so please take a minute to cast your vote. Will announce the results in approximately a week’s time.

Worth noting that the ordering of the images is randomised so they will not tie up with the order within the polling options.

Have a great Easter.

  1. Honestly, I’m hard-pressed to choose, too. So much wealth here! But I suppose the daffodil bud remains a favorite for its brilliantly mysterious lighting. The portrait of the handsome hound, of course, absolutely makes me want to give him a good scratch behind the ears and a big hug around his handsome neck! πŸ™‚

  2. It’s always hard to choose a favourite when you do this John πŸ™‚ but I did! The stark simplicity of The Builders Hut won me over but Hiding in a Corner was close. And love the name Possible Princes and then there is the hound . . . . . . Can we have a second choice next time, pretty please πŸ™‚

  4. Och! And we can only choose one? ‘Tis cruel indeed…orange is my favourite colour so I love the Builders’ Hut and In The Corner; but the Hound is so handsome (then again I voted for him last time); the Unfurling Petals in the dark background ~beauty; I agree the raspberries are luscious indeed. I, too, shall have to go with the frogs simply because I’ve never managed to find frogs with their eggs before!

  5. Hello, John, these are great and very fresh looking pictures. I can truthfully say that I like them all but, if pressed, I think that the backlit raspberries in the plain white bowl do it the most for me – I love the shapes, colours and textures and I can even see the little hairs on the fruit – the whole thing looks good, and it just talks to me about all the luscious fruitiness in that bowl! Having just one colour and white works very well too. Good stuff! Adrian

    1. Thanks Adrian. I tried several different shots and angles of this bowl, but I liked the way the light played in this one. Quite subtle but adding a lot. Many thanks for your comments Adrian, John. And have a great Easter.
