Despite a coach pulling up and a whole load of tourists flowing onto the sand, this beach in the Westfjord region of Iceland still had a feeling of being deserted. On the top of the mountain range backing the beach the white of snow can still be seen – anywhere else and this would most likely be the caravan parks on the cliffs overlooking the bay.

Let the summer roll on…..
