In my previous post on Cahirmee Fair, I noted the date of the Horse Fair as Saturday 12th July.

A kind reader alerted me that they thought the date had changed to Monday 14th July this year. Initially I could find no news of this, but word on the street was that it would now be on the Monday and yesterday the Horse Fair Ireland Facebook site announced this change.

Thank you to “Someone” for alerting me to this and I hope that this does not ruin any best laid plans. At least you now know of this change.

I still hope to go up on the Monday, so if you see a camera, smile!
