Final entry for the weekly photo competition and today I bring you a treasure discovered in Groningen, Netherlands. In a side street near the university I tumbled into this shop selling all sorts of things and this figure caught my eye.
It is quite large at around 16 inches /41 cm tall and to my mind captures a lot of grace and poise as well as the caring and protective nature of a mother. This ornament from Groningen is a treasure to me.

Absolutely nothing, it is pretty cheap and I would say common, but I really liked it. The figure was so graceful, strong and caring all at the same time. MM 🍀
