Like this very much MM . Edgy with a hint of softness . You are right about titles being personal …
Strangely enough I have something similar waiting to be posted soon [ish]

May be because of its personal aspect, but I too really like this – it resonates so much and speaks loudly to me. Of course noir everyone will get it but that is fine by me. Look forward to seeing your own Poppytump, have a great day. MM π

A very Texan looking embrace! Or at least that’s how it looks to me since we moved from the NW corner of the US to Texas a few years ago. Thankfully, only the actual barbed wire is so harsh here–the embrace of the locals is far, far kindlier! π Lovely photo.

Glad the locals are friendly, makes a big difference when making a big move. Thanks for your comments, MM π

A cold embrace could absolutely also mean to be entwined or strangled. I like MM’s title – it allows the viewer to make up his/her own mind! As usual, Gorgeous!

I am glad you like it Dale, many thanks. The title is personal so remains unchanged and open to interpretation. MM π

Entwined or strangled would be better I think

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate the feedback. For the populist vote you are probably right. However, when I saw this barbed wire around the post what I saw was a cold embrace. Something trying to take on the guise of a hug, but in reality they were barbed and hurting. Personal experience, so for that reason I will leave as is. That is the beauty of art (am I really just calling myself an artist?), it can be interpreted a number of ways. Keep the comments coming. MM π
