Sunflowers – Part I

It may be mid-October but the remnants of summer are holding on. In the back garden the various sunflowers are hanging on while their neighbours wilt and die. In this post the flowers are defiantly casting a warm glow in the garden, despite the presence of arctic winds. I will have to see what seed can be saved for next year. I must admit I never realised that several types of sunflower existed, until one lot of mine starting springing up with flame-like petals rather than the bright golden yellow I had been expecting.

This is the first in a set of three, reflecting the most defiant of the sunflowers.

May your day be bright.

  1. Gorgeous MM.
I never knew there were different colours of sunflowers.

I think I learn something new every day when I read blogs from the other side of the world.

    1. Thanks so much Dredd. Am only just starting so they should get better. 😉 If you haven’t already seen ‘Tears and Sunshine’ from Sunday then please do – it would be my favourite. Two in the one shot. Really appreciated that you took the time out to come over here and leave a comment. MM 🍀
