This is the wonderfully interesting and entertaining Bac Ha Market in northern Vietnam, not far from the border with China. There are many people of the Flower Hmong tribe here, such as this colourful stall worker in the eatery section of the market. It is a real treasure trove of colours and outside there is a livestock market. If you are around this region make sure you get to this place when the weekly market is taking place, you won’t be disappointed.

Reminiscent of many SE Asian markets. I love the moment – as she appears to be counting out loud.

Cheers Eric. I love markets; the vibrancy, colourful characters, old ways of life, animals and seeing something as far away as could be imagined from the modern malls. Talk about an atmosphere. Hope you have been keeping well. MM ๐
