I am glad to say that at the end of last week’s gardening, time was saved for a bit more pilfering. It was quite pleasing as we added some new crops to bring away, including beetroot, potatoes and broad beans. The garden is slowly coming to the boil and who knows, with all this good weather we are having we may even get a result in the tomato competition.

Larger than golf balls, smaller than tennis balls – the ideal sized beetroot.

Tomorrow will be setting off for a local traditional fair which I hope provides some photo opportunities. For now let’s just enjoy the taste of fresh, homegrown produce.
