Colourful Porto

Like the capital Lisbon, Porto seems to be full of hills and tumbles down to a river. The city is best seen from the southern side of the River Douro looking north, from where the port wine cellars jostle cheek to cheek, their names adorning each roof.

However, the photograph in this post was taken up by the solid cathedral and captures an old building, sandwiched in by those around it. The fading colours and shadows seem capable of telling many a story.

  1. John! How lovely to find you and this absolutely stunning photo!

Too funny, another blogger just announced that she is going to Portugal when school is over (she’s a teacher about to start her retirement).

    1. Dale, I have made the move permanent, not just a holiday. Moved over in Mid-November with the heavenly hound, Harry. A new fresh start in the very north of the country. It really is beautiful here. Hope all is good with yourself, sending hugs and love your way
