This week’s challenge is H2O, or water to most people.
Living in Ireland it could be considered to be a very easy subject; Ireland is surrounded by the sea and it rains a fair bit. So for my first post on the subject I am going to stay at home.
The first image is from the archives and is taken on Achill Island, County Mayo. We were surrounded by the ocean and then this wall of water seemed to fall from the sky. Dramatic.

This second image also has an element of drama and was taken in County Kerry, but we move from salt water to a fresh water lake. Across the hills a deluge of rain comes in, interspersed with dapples of light being reflected on the lake as the sun seeks to break through.

Well, I hope you enjoyed these first two responses to the latest photo challenge. If you want to see more of this week’s photo challenge just head on over to water.
In a word – stunning, MM. Such a beautiful country! CC

How on earth the sun managed to find a break in those rain drenched clouds is beyond me…..
