From my Saturday trip I post some more pictures of the window in the ruin down at the entrance to Cork Harbour, a short way along the coast from Crosshaven. I’ve probably included too many here in this gallery, but was loathed to be brutal and get rid of some, each being slightly different.
On Thursday I will be entering my favourite window shot for the challenge from this series, while on Wednesday I will dig out a photo from the archives which also fits the theme perfectly. Let me know what you think.
I just love them all. ๐

All lovely – no doubt you have a winner to share this week. I rather like the last image as it speaks the larger story – the building, the harbor, the beach and view and even man’s activity in that space. A window on it all – if you will.

The choice is made and it is not included here. I’d never been to this place before but when I saw the shell of the building knew that the weekly challenge was about to be answered. ๐

I’ve tried looking up what this building was – some sort of fortification or harbourmaster post I would suspect, but found nothing. ๐

Thanks Ed, it was just too obvious for me, given the title of this week’s challenge. ๐

I like the fifth (or last) image in this post as it makes me feel as though I am standing there looking through to the other side of the harbour in reality.

Thanks Vicki, I’d like to think the one to be posted on Thursday is the pick off the bunch. Enjoy your day, MM ๐
