As we headed down Glenbrittle on Skye, Scotland towards the campsite, this incredible beauty simply ignored us and carried on chewing right by the roadside. We just had to turn around and get a picture of such a magnificent beast. Easier said than done when you are driving on a single track road with a handful of passing places. ย However, turn around we did, so here is this beauty for you all to see.

I’ve long had a special place in my heart for the Scottish Highlander breed, and this is a magnificent representative. What a beauty!

The only thing was he was pretty light in colour and not a real golden wheat colour, hence the B/W choice. Still a beauty. MM ๐ฎ

Stunning indeed! My grandfather raised long-horned cattle in British Columbia – this brought me a little closer to a man I never got to meet!

It’s a pity, but glad the highland cow is appreciated. Alas I did not know either of my paternal grandparents. MM ๐
