Low Tide

Midleton seems a long way from the sea proper. However, salt water finds its way right up to the town’s edge courtesy of the creeks and inlets of Cork’s natural harbour.

When the sea beats a retreat, expanses of mud flats are left behind.  Boats that happily bob on the waves lie slumped and helpless, their ropes and chains holding them to the spot.

And so it was with this craft, but at least its colours and reflection helped to provide a splash of colour to the scene.

      1. No thank God! He will stuff his face in the snow, but no…no mud thankfully! Could you imagine with the fur he has? Egads!
