Yesterday my first response to the weekly photo challenge, “Landscape”, featured Scottish landscapes. Today it is the turn of Iceland to paint its picture.
Here goes:
Well that’s Iceland showcased, come and join me tomorrow for a look at a few Irish Landscapes to round off the week.

With you on that one, the dark sky is in pure contrast. Pure drama. Enjoy the weekend. 🍀

Julie, the place is like no other, well maybe your fair land comes closest, but not been there to be able to compare. You and Andrew have a great fun filled weekend 😘

Another fantastic set of images . I can see the sky is perhaps a significant player on mood change for the Icelanders.

Yes, and maybe I have cheated a bit – more like skyscapes than landscapes in places. Wonderfully pure air mind 😎🍀👍🏼

Stunning! Love those lupins 😀 I dream of visiting Iceland. You’ve now made me question whether I want to do a winter or summer trip!!

So much choice..You will have a great time whenever you go, just don’t hang around too long in Reykjavik but get on out there. We went in June and loved it – lots of seabirds, whales and oh the long days – and of course there is still plenty of snow in places, afterall there are a number of glaciers. You will most likely miss out on the Northern Lights mind…Great to see your name pop up Sarah and I hope all is good with you, MM 😘

I think one day in Reykjavik would do me fine!! I like to get off the beaten track and really explore the landscape 🙂 It’s all a matter of saving up to make it a perfect trip!! There’s so many places I know I want to see and photograph. I’m muddling through John! Not great health wise but making the best of things. I have a new obsession with a local pair of kingfishers 😀 The weather has been making it hard for me to get out and watch them this week though! I might get a couple of hours tomorrow, we shall have to see.

Yep, not much in Reykjavik. We only went up to the West Fjord region, hire car. How anyone can claim to do the whole island in a couple of weeks is beyond me 🙄. Hope the health improves and those kingfishers continue to dazzle 😎

Reykjavik is expensive too!! I would definitely need a good 4×4 out there to get around 😉 I really want to see the volcanoes and the falls and the black Sands and the ice floes and those beautiful chapels and yes, that’s going to take a while knowing me and my need for rest breaks!! Asthma should improve soon. The rest is just the way it is I guess! Frustrating at the moment but fingers crossed we’ll get this blip settled down. The kingfishers are a good tonic 🙂 Hope you’re well and the hound is a happy chappy too!

The hound is refreshingly happy, a tonic for us all. Been through some tough times but the light is shining brighter 🌞 we managed without a 4×4 but we didn’t hit the glaciers either. Hope the health improves, 😘

Glad to hear that things are looking brighter!! Yeah, I really want to see those glaciers. I think it would help for getting as close to the volcanoes as possible too! I’ll get there 😉 Keep focusing on the brighter times!!
