After leaving Sligo we crossed into County Leitrim before heading briefly across the border into Northern Ireland as we entered County Fermanagh. It was my first time in this county and the diversion was to pop into the Belleek factory, or perhaps shop. The factory stands on the bank of the River Eme as one enters the town of Belleek from the south.
Now when I say factory, the building we stood outside of looked like it had more in common with Buckingham Palace than some old sweat-shop. I understand the factory started in 1857, so a bit of history there.
The diversion was well worth it.
If only all factories were this beautiful!

Kind of beats the standard warehouse sheet metal that’s for sure. 👍

I’ve seen quite a bit of Beleek in my day and I am surprised that they can turn out so much from a small place. Perfectly charming! Thanks for sharing.
