Since I first posted you have been great in providing feedback on my various blog offerings; some things I really liked didn’t seem to resonate with many, while others I was surprised at the hugely positive comments that hit my in-tray. Having only started part way through the year I now have many more followers than the zero in May 2013.
I’d like to know from you all, which of the photographs featured on my blog you liked the most. I have narrowed down the list to my own favourite 12 photos, so now it’s over to you to tell me which one of these you like best by using the voting buttons below. Just click on a thumbnail to view the images in a larger format.
If I have overlooked your favourite from the past 6 months let me know by way of comment to this post. I will also let you know my own personal favourite, but some of you may already be able to guess this.
Many thanks and Happy New Year to you all
You have some fantastic photos here MM, and glad you are starting to get a following, it is great when that happens. Can I ask you though, why do you put up the images full size, they are massive images and would be very easy for people to steal and print for themselves? I know some people who blog don’t care, but I find it interesting.

Thanks for the compliment Leanne. So far I have simply added the watermark as a deterrent (save for some very old shots). On image size I guess I am probably trying to learn and do so much all at once that is one thing I have bern lazy on and simply not changed – loaded as is. Can I ask what you do and what sort of size you use to load up here? Many thanks Leanne, I appreciate your comments. MM 🍀

Of course you can ask, I just use photoshop and image size, most editing software will have something like that, image size in gimp. I scale my images so the longest side is 800 px.

Mick, you make it so hard with all these stunning photos! I was particularly struck by The Last of the Leaves, but the Charming Their Way through Life won my heart. As far as I’m concerned, they’re all photo contest winners. Happy New Year to you. We have so enjoyed getting to know you this year and look forward to more of your wonderful posts. 🙂 ~ Terri & James

This is unfair; I like many posts of you and I have only one vote, so a comment would be better to express my fondness for some of the pictures thought i already voted. Last of The Leaves, Gougane Barra, Dorset Coast, Winter Cyclemen and Chasing Shadows. I’d like to know what your favorites pictures are, you know better. 🙂

I have to deny to knowing better as my choices would certainly be tainted by situation. My favourite one is the unpopular ‘Desert Dream’, but I did love the Last of the leaves before I even put the camera to my eye. The big surprise for me is that Dorset Coast is a bit of a favourite. This is something where we may all hold a valid opinion, but mine is most likely to be coloured so for me it is a really interesting exercise. Thanks for taking time to comment and vote. Happy New Year, MM 🍀

What a simply splendid idea MM! Loved this.
So I was going to say which one I chose (which was a bit hard really even though it did kinda jump right out at me, the others are soooo lovely too!)…but then when I voted – I was quite smiley to see where my tastes lay in comparison with other voters 😉 Pretty cool actually.
Have a peaceful new year and may you continue to bring us beauty as you do in 2014 ~

Lovely photos Mick, isn’t it funny how your favorites are not always as successful as something you think isn’t quite as interesting. Maybe it is because we are so close to our subjects we think they are ordinary, forgetting how nice it is for others to see into our corner of the world. My first choice was Dursey Window on the World but my second is Last of the Leaves. Happy New Year. 🙂

I find it very interesting to see what to others (here the readers and followers) think as our own view is very much tainted, as you highlight. Will let you know the full results in a weeks time. Many best wishes for a happy and healthy 2014. MM 🍀

You must be joking MM.
I’d rather keep you as an online friend.
Besides if I told you which one I didn’t like, it’s sure to be an image I said I DID like (at the time of original posting) and then I’d really ‘put my foot in it’, wouldn’t I.
The one time I really said what I thought of someone’s images (in a nice constructive criticism, there was no reply and a REALLY big silence for some time thereafter). Now I know that when people ask for constructive criticism or which image you like, they don’t really mean it – LOL.
