Everyday Beauty

Getting up early can be rewarded. No filters were used in this photo, nor was it toyed about with in photoshop or the like afterwards. Simple, everyday beauty

  1. Reblogged this on meticulousmick and commented:

This is the very first post that I entered on my blog and thought it appropriate to repeat today. Over the coming days I am unlikely to be able to post or check up on the posts of others, so you will have to excuse my absence. It strikes me that dawn and dusk can be very similar; a crescendo of light of many vibrant colours. The photograph below happens to be dawn. Bill is in his mid nineties and his light is still burning as bright as ever. Still grasping hands, smiling and after a short while the nurses had cottoned to the fact that “he is a talker”. He has of course many stories to tell and he still laughs at the most of them. It’s good to know that Bill can still enjoy the craic even knowing his time here is coming to a close. May your colours continue to shine Bill.

    1. Thanks Wildsherkin. Only just getting started so only just now have a ‘gavatar’ and really just trying to see how everything works. I like the creativity you put into your blog and in the ‘Shoot it sketch it’ section I think the second one (sketch it) works way better than the photograph itself. It gives it a wilder, more natural feel. Also liked the Natural Creativity piece. Not been to Sherkin Island yet, but it is on my list, so hopefully some time soon. Following you as it is good to see what other ‘local’ people are doing and particularly those with an artistic bent.

The career move is exciting and daunting all at the same time.
